Q: Do I need an inspection?
A: We always recommend a stucco and/or an exterior inspection and evaluation.
A third party inspector who is qualified, licenced and insured, can determine the problems and make recommendations for repairs.
It is important to find an inspector that does not also do the repairs, because we feel this constitutes a conflict of interest.
A third party opinion is always a good idea.

Q: Why is my house leaking? / Is my house leaking?
A: There are many things that can cause a house to leak.
At RAM, we define a leak as ‘water intrusion through the exterior moisture barrier’.
Its obvious to know you have a leak when water is coming into your home,
but a leak behind the moisture barrier will cause water saturation of the wall system. Anytime water is trapped behind the stucco in the wall system, there is a potential for mold growth and the premature decay of the wood framing members.
Now, the cause this ‘moisture intrusion’ can be a result of many different types of deficiencies. Please see common stucco problems.
An inspection service might be needed to determine the exact problems
that you are having.
